Community Policing Forum 4, Zones 7 & 8: Constantia Park/Waterkloof Glen
Dear CPF4 Resident
At the General Meeting of the CPF4 held on Monday, 7th December 2009 at the Wingate Park Country Club, the concept of DataDot was put to all present. It is a system whereby residents can mark and identify anything that they want to mark in their homes for the purpose of identification by SAPS should it be stolen and, as it would benefit residents and be an extra deterrent against crime, it was decided to put the offer to each of you.
To enable all to be able to purchase a kit, a special price of R150 per kit is being offered to members of our Community Policing Forum, Sector 4, Garsfontein. This kit will allow for the marking of whatever you choose to mark in your home, from TV's and computers right down to small items like jewellery. To quote from their brochure:
"DataDot developed this technology and has pioneered it throughout South Africa and the rest of the world. We are fully committed to fighting crime and have worked side by side with the SAPS and Business Against Crime for the past 8 years.
South Africans can make a difference in the fight against crime by simply applying DataDot to their car, household and business assets. Apart from many other benefits to this, it provides the police with the necessary tools to help put criminals behind bars."
