DataDot Corporate Responsibility
DataDot Technology is a company which strives to be responsible to the environment as well as the communities in which we operate. We are committed to responsible practices such as recycling and to lower our carbon footprint. We are passionate in our efforts to uplift our communities. Examples of these important projects are:
Carbon Footprint

DataDot Technology (SA) Pty Ltd joined hands with several offices in George, taking part in the recycling program; 4.4 tons of office paper was collected during the month of September 2011.
For every ton of paper recycled, 17 trees, 2 barrels of oil, 4100 kW of energy and 27.2 kg of air pollution is saved. A total of 75 trees were thus saved by the recycling of office paper.
We believe that we can make a difference to this town, to this world of ours and it starts with every one of us, it should and must become a way of life.
Shoe Box Project

The motivation behind the Santa shoe box project was to create awareness towards less privileged children. The project created a very positive attitude with all the staff and inspired great team spirit. Hearts were reached and emotions ran high with each and every person in DataDot. Everyone participated and titlehough some contributions was maybe just a bar of soap or tooth paste, it came from a willing heart!
Berco, our loyal business partner, will deliver the boxes on our behalf at no cost – A BIG thank you for your participation in making this project a success!!

Tree Planting Project
On Saturday 5 May 2012 Datadot Technology (SA) Pty Ltd, joined by the Lions (Eden), and the Green Campus Forum came together to plant trees. This is in an effort to finish the corridors on NMMU (George) that will connect the various forest patches so that smaller animals will find it easier and safer to cross. For Datadot Technology this is part of a much bigger project where they want to plant 250 trees this year in an effort to offset their carbon footprint of the previous year. This is but one of the projects that Datadot Technology is involved with to become a ‘green’ company. A BIG thank you to The Lions (Eden) who sponsored the digging of the holes It was a huge family day where the children of both Datadot Technology and the Lions club also learned the importance of planting trees.
